Choose Your Own Adventure: Margaritas – Three Ways! 

Close your eyes and picture it: You’re sitting poolside, lazily kicking your feet in the cool pool water while rocking a cute swimsuit. You feel the warmth of the sun on your skin… what’s missing? A delicious margarita in hand, of course! But how do you have your margarita moment in the sun and keep your macros in check? Here are three options to make it work for you! We will being using the Jessie’s Girls method of calculating alcohol macros in these nutrition breakdowns.

Skinny Margarita #1 – The Simple Low Sugar Margarita:

This margarita is for someone who has some carbs and calories to spend or is having a “memories over macros” day but still doesn’t want to load up on sugary drinks!

Skinny Margarita #2 – The “Happy Medium” Margarita:

This is your margarita if you don’t want to give up the tequila taste but want to lower the calories and carbs a little! Instead if Cointreau or Triple Sec, we’ll use freshly squeezed orange juice or blood orange in this case! 

Ingredients:

2 oz of Tequila 

1 oz of Lime Juice 

1 oz of Fresh Orange Juice 

1 tsp of Agave Syrup 

Garnish:

Salt and Tajín

Lime Wedge

Skinny Margarita #3 – The “Scaled Back” Sparkling Margarita :

Want a little taste of tequila but don’t want to go overboard? Easy! Cut the tequila down and add seltzer or sparkling water to fill the glass! 

Ingredients:

2 oz of Tequila 

1 oz of Lime Juice 

1 oz of Fresh Orange Juice 

1 tsp of Agave Syrup 

Sparkling water or Seltzer

Garnish:

Salt and Tajín

Lime Wedge
